Marjon Castelijns | Director

Marjon is an operations-professional with 15 years of experience in general management, project management, production, logistics and procurement. In her role as director in her consultancy firm, she has built significant experience in project oversight, quality assurance, client and government liaison and capacity building of staff and consultants.

Marjon has executed and managed consultancies with many international clients such as: UMEME, DFID, UNICEF, BTC, Malawi National AIDS Commission and the Netherlands Embassy. During this period, she worked in several countries including Uganda, South Sudan, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Sierra Leone, Turkey, The Netherlands, Spain, Germany and the UK.

Marjon holds a degree in International Business Studies and has qualifications in Supply Chain Management, Production and Inventory Management and Lean Six Sigma. Her management experience, combined with practical and analytical skills enables her to both set-up and lead a company and its projects.

Emmy Okkema | General Manager

Emmy is an international oriented professional with over 10 years of experience in general management, project management, sales and marketing and intercultural communication. She is very customer oriented and has strong innovative problem solving skills.  She enjoys building bridges between strategic visions and practical implementation. On top of that she is very process oriented and at the same time practical in her approach to get things done.

Emmy has been living in Uganda for 6 years, and before that she has worked in Namibia, Thailand and The Netherlands.

She attended the EuRA “Mobility Industry in Context” training and conference in Cape Town in 2016 which provided strong insights into the relocation service industry in Africa. Emmy holds a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from VU University in the Netherlands.

Jenny Wamala | Office Manager

Jenny is our newest addition to the team and is responsible for customer relations and operations. She has 5 years of experience in the fields of administration, communications and operations. Previously she has worked for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. She is results driven and likes to work with people from various backgrounds.

Jenny is very client focused and detailed oriented. Her experience enables her to build and maintain professional relationships and to work within clear processes and procedures efficiently to deliver quality services to clients.

Jenny holds a diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication. Her excellent communication skills are essential for the position she holds at Expat Assist.
