Ordinary Resident/Retirement visa – Class H

It is one of the main long-stay options for retirees or people living in Uganda on passive income.

This permit is designed for people who:

Live in Uganda long-term
Have stable income from outside Uganda
Do not work or earn income in Uganda

Who qualifies for it?

Are typically retired or financially independent
Have assured foreign income
Do not intend to take employment or run a business in Uganda

A commonly cited requirement is income of about USD 36,000 per year or more.
